Country music singer Phil Stacey first gained national attention in the sixth season of American Idol where he competed deeply into the Top Ten. A Navy veteran and a pastor's son, he considers his music career a ministry as reflected in his first hit single, "If You Didn't Love Me," and its follow-up, a very patriotic "Old Glory."
His career has risen quickly in the months since American Idol, including appearances at the Grand Old Opry, Carnegie Hall, as a featured soloist at Scott Hamilton's annual ice skating benefit, and at NFL football games. He also raised nearly $100,000 in a benefit concert for Greensburg, Kansas tornado victims. Portland CityFest is one of several dozen cities on an extensive summer tour.
Born in 1978 in Richmond, Kentucky, Phil and his wife, Kendra, are the proud parents of two daughters, Chloe and McKayla.
